As classy as it sounds, a white handkerchief with satin strips is all you need to add a dash of color and style to the suit you’re wearing. The Classic Square Fold
The classic square fold, or the presidential fold as also known, is apparently the easiest way to fold your handkerchief into a pocket square. It’s actually the best fold to use for a formal business dressing or a black tie. Preferably, you can use a white linen or silk handkerchief for this fold.
You can begin by laying your handkerchief flat on a clean surface. Then fold it in half by joining the bottom-left corner with the bottom-right. Do the same for the top corners. Next, fold the now rectangular handkerchief into a square by joining the lower corners with their corresponding top corners. You can now tug the folded square into your breast pocket, leaving about a quarter inch strip exposed at the top.
The Triangle Fold
The triangle fold is the most popular fold that people use on almost any type of dress code. A solid colored pocket square of any color should be your most ideal pick for this fold
Again, lay your pocket square on a clean, flat surface. Join the bottom-right corner with the top-left corner and the bottom-left with the top right, such that it form two overlapping triangles. Now go ahead and fold each side of the triangle’s base inwards.
Your fold is now complete. You can place the square fold into your jacket’s breast pocket, leaving the triangular fold exposed.
The Two Point Fold
If you’re looking for something more sophisticated and stylish, this is the pocket square fold for you. The best part is that it can blend with almost any color and dress code.
As usual, place your handkerchief on a clean, flat surface. Now join the bottom-right corner with the top left and the bottom-left one with the top-right, but this rime one tip should be slightly higher than the other. After that you can fold each side of the triangle’s. Ta-da! You’re now free to place the two pin fold into your breast pocket.
